Who would have thought you can use your grandmother’s silver in the bathroom? Yes, the bathroom.
Yes, you read the headline right. Wallpaper is not only back, but back in a big way. I recently toured my local Parade of Homes and saw first-hand how wallpaper’s made a comeback.
The one thing I like about wallpaper is it gives a big pop of design! I always like to include something a little unpredictable in my decorating. A little WOW factor.
When I first moved to my neighborhood, the women used to host an annual Fall Coffee. This casual get together was a great way to connect with both old and new neighbors. The hostess made an effort to call and invite any new women that had moved into the neighborhood in the last year.
What I love about a fall coffee is that it’s so easy to host. The menu is simple. Coffee and dessert. It doesn’t get any easier.
Recently I was at a party where a friend was taking pictures. She had a tip for us on how to pose for the photo. Stick your neck out slightly, and then tilt your head slightly down. Out and down were all I needed to hear. I gave it a try and actually liked the results.
It reminded me of the recent sequel to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” When the mother and aunt were having their pictures taken, the aunt said, “I will hold your neck, you hold mine,” It was one of my favorite lines.
I’ve gathered some other tips from the pros on how to pose in pictures. Be sure to click on each link for additional tips.

You can keep it simple by serving Affogato or make a more elaborate ice cream bar or cake.
I don’t know about you but I want to make all three of these. Continue Reading
My husband and I just returned from a lovely vacation at our friends’ lake house in South Carolina. It prompted some daydreaming about retirement and where we would want to live when that time comes.
Summer totes are a necessity for me. It’s the time of year when I travel a lot. I always seem to have a lot of things to carry whether it’s a road trip or traveling by air.
I love a roomy bag where I can stash everything from sunglasses, iPad, a shawl and snacks.
Here are some fabulous totes for summer!
