MY MAGIC SKIN CREAM

A month ago a friend sent me a day cream and a night cream, I’d never heard of, and asked if I would try them and give her my honest opinion. Because she built one of the most iconic beauty and fragrance brands in the world, she peaked my interest.

After two weeks, I started calling these bottles of Simply Venom™ my “magic creams.”

Simply Venom™ Day Cream and Night Cream contain ingredients that deliver similar effects to medical-grade “injectables,” but without the risk. You may have read my post about Botox and fillers and why I’m not doing them—as tempting as they are sometimes—so if Simply Venom™ creams could mimic their effects, I wanted to see how they worked. I also trusted my friend.

Simply Venom™ was developed by Dr. Monica Lilore and Dr. Milija Milic, both anesthesiologists with over 35 years of combined medical expertise. Both are highly skilled in the use of muscle relaxants. The inception of Simply Venom™ began with Doctors Lilore’s and Milic’s fascination with the Temple Viper Snake, and it’s powerful venom, which is legendary for stilling the movement of muscles.

After experimenting with synthetic ingredients that could safely and topically mimic the snake’s venom, Dr. Lilore and Dr. Milic began working with a homeopathic compounding pharmacist. The results are Simply Venom™ Day Cream and Night Cream. The ingredients have been clinically studied and deliver similar effects to that of medical-grade injectables, without the risk. This is exciting: Simply Venom’s™ Night Cream was voted a 2017 finalist for “Best Indie Beauty Brand” by the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW)!

Simply Venom™ Day Cream and Night Cream

Within a few days of using the Day Cream and Night Cream, my jowls–and particularly my neck–looked tighter! With so many creams on the market, I didn’t know what to expect from Simply Venom,™ so I didn’t think to do a “before” photograph. I wish I had. Just know that yesterday I told someone, “You’ll have to pry the Simply Venom™ creams away from me with a crowbar. Good luck!”

I’m using this stuff for life, because I no longer look like I’m related to the crypt keeper.

Go to their site. Read everything yourself. They list all of their ingredients, which are 100% fragrance, dye, gluten and paraben free.

It takes a lot of guts to get your face cut on. What if you don’t like the results? It also takes guts in this day and age to do nothing. Just try Simply Venom.™ What do you have to lose except for your turkey neck… which makes me think about the fabulous Nora Ephron’s book, I Feel Bad About My Neck. She would have loved this stuff!

Love, Brenda

So…I’m pretty loyal to my Strivectin, but I’m intrigued. Since I’m about due for a new tube maybe I’ll give this a shot.

Hi Debbie, I’ve never used Strivectin and quite frankly, am naive about most skin creams other than what I buy in Whole Foods. Simply Venom has made an amazing difference, most of all in my neck, which was wobbly-gobbly. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Brenda

  • Beckye June 17, 2017 at 5:20 pm

So you’ve used them for a month? I am intrigued! I appreciate a great personal recommendation, so am considering this! Thanks!!

Hi Beckye, You’ve been a 1010ParkPlace reader long enough to know I recommend very few products, and the ones I do, I have to really believe in them. Think about it… It’s two bottles of cream! In the grand scheme of things, if you don’t like it, it’s no big deal. I will keep buying Simply Venom. I’m amazed at how much better my neck looks. xoxox, Brenda

I long to laugh at myself how quickly I jumped on this post and how much I think: I might could want to try that. Like yesterday 🙂 🙂 but I don’t laugh at me. I’m curious!!!

    • 1010ParkPlace June 19, 2017 at 2:57 pm

Hello! No laughter here at speed or curiosity! I’m of that age where other than Botox, fillers and surgery, I’m interested in anything that gets rid of even a smudge of turkey neck! Everyday I look more and more like my mother… when she was OLD. I mean OLD, OLD, as in her 80’s! Yes, I’m grateful to still be here and be healthy, but this facial aging and drooping business is cruel. Keep me posted, Brenda

  • Haralee June 19, 2017 at 9:42 am

Brenda you have certainly set me to curious! The name sort of threw meat first but I like it because it is clear of it’s origin.

    • 1010ParkPlace June 19, 2017 at 3:03 pm

I know what you mean about the name, Haralee. It’s kind of odd, plus I’m a Texas girl, and it’s been ingrained in me all my life to steer clear of snakes… poisonous or nonpoisonous. I can assure you, these creams are harmless–not like a venomous snake–but affective. Please let me know if you decide to try them and what you think. xoxox, Brenda

I love the packaging. It sounds intriguing. I’ll have to try it.

    • 1010ParkPlace June 19, 2017 at 3:04 pm

I like the packaging as well. It’s unforgettable that’s for sure. xoxoxo Brenda

  • Roxanne Jones June 19, 2017 at 3:09 pm

This sounds intriguing, and the price point isn’t outrageous. I did visit their site and wish they had more before-and-after photos to document how the products work. But you’re a credible advocate, so I may just have to give this a try!

    • 1010ParkPlace June 20, 2017 at 3:54 pm

If you think about it, Roxanne, most skincare products don’t have “before and after” photos. When they do, the photographer in me is looking for signs they photoshopped it. I don’t know what your skin texture, sagging, etc. is, so I can’t tell you how this will work for you. I can only tell you it works for me! Let me know what you think of it. Thanks, Brenda

  • Valorie June 20, 2017 at 11:21 am

I may try this! I just read the ingredient list and it looks good. I’m starting to need something for my neck other than Olay Regenerist. I love peptides in just about any skin product!

    • 1010ParkPlace June 20, 2017 at 3:58 pm

You’re ahead of me about the peptides, Valorie! Until now, I’ve been using a day cream and a night cream from Whole Foods that don’t have parabens in them and are relatively “clean.” There’s a whole world of creams–and just about everything else–I know nothing about. Thanks so much for reading and commenting. I’d be interested to know what you think of it. Brenda

Heads up, Brenda! This product duo is sold on HSN for $36.75 + free shipping! I went to the Simply Venom website and it has the HSN icon, so I clicked. Sure enough, same size containers. Score!

    • Brenda Coffee June 22, 2017 at 8:36 pm

Woah! Thanks for the info. Wish I’d had this a couple of hours earlier because I placed an order on their site and didn’t notice that. Next time! Brenda

    • Jo September 29, 2017 at 1:41 pm

The link to HSN on their website doesn’t work anymore, and now HSN only has the Night Cream for $48.30, Day Cream is Sold Out. I would love to try it, but just too pricey for me. Amazon sells the duo for $108. Maybe if it becomes more affordable.

      • Brenda Coffee September 29, 2017 at 3:47 pm

Hi Jo, I understand about the price, but it’s worth it. Should you change your mind, you can go directly to their website and buy it. http://simplyvenom.com Thanks for letting me know, Brenda

I’ve been nervous to try anything new but gluten, dye free and recommended by you is what I need!

    • 1010ParkPlace June 25, 2017 at 8:57 pm

I can’t say whether this will work for anyone else. All I know is that it works for me! xoxox, Brenda

I really like these creams. They seem to make my face former and quite moisturized. I just got a notice from Amazon that they are on sale fir the next two weeks. Thought I’d pass it on that info to you and your subscribers.

    • Ellen Crimmins November 3, 2017 at 7:09 am

Good gosh….it would be helpful if I wore my glasses when typing!…..
typo errors….*firmer instead of “former”….and *for instead of “fir”….delete “it” in last sentence!
Would be nice to be able to edit comments before posting. Sorry Ladies!

      • Brenda Coffee November 3, 2017 at 7:59 pm

Hi Ellen, I got the same notice! Yes, firmer and more moisturized. Last week I got a facial. I hadn’t seen my aesthetician since I started using Simply Venom, and she was shocked at how good I looked. She just kept saying, “You look good! Oh, my! You look great!” I bet she said that 10 times! I will never be without Simply Venom. Happy you like it as well. Brenda

    Hi Brenda, you won’t remember me….but I remember you……..
It was Christmas in 2010, when I discovered your Breast Cancer site. I had recently gone through a mastectomy with expander surgery, and I was just going to start my chemo. It was going to be a rigorous five months. I bought a wig, went to a beauty salon (on a Sunday, so I wouldn’t scare anyone) and had my head shaved. That was a daunting moment…. Later that day, logged onto your site. I think I asked some questions about hair, being the makeup and fashion junkie that I am.
To my surprise, you contacted me via the Internet. Brenda, you had just lost your husband……and you took the time to talk to me! Your heart was totally broken, as you had just discovered your hubby next to his tractor……yet you spoke to a stranger, and you offered me encouragement. I’ll never forget it.
So, dear Brenda, I’m onboard with anything you recommend. Many thanks for all that you do.
    Best,
    Ellen

Oh, Ellen! I’m overjoyed to hear from you and hope you’re doing well and happy to know I gave you some comfort and encouragement. That’s what we’re here to do… lean on, support and love one another. I’ve discovered reaching out to someone else helps with our own pain, if only for a little while. You’ve made my day, Ellen! Sending love and best wishes, Brenda
